About
Prof. (Dr.) Ashwin B. Jansari is one of Gujarat's most respected figures in academic psychology. Over a career spanning more than 36 years, he has shaped how psychology is taught, researched and applied across the state — as a teacher, as Head of the Department of Psychology at Gujarat University, and as the author of a remarkable body of standardised psychological tests relied upon by students, researchers and practitioners.
He joined the faculty of Gujarat University's Department of Psychology in 1996, led the department as its Head from 2004 to 2015, and retired as Professor in 2017. He continues to serve the field as Honorary Director of the Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology and as Founder-Director of Bharti Manomapan Centre, Ahmedabad, through which he develops and publishes psychological assessment tools.
His work carries particular meaning for Kocoon Junior. Alongside tests spanning anxiety, depression, adjustment, motivation and personality, he has authored Gujarati books on the difficulties faced by children and persons with disabilities and how they can be supported and helped to adjust. His association brings decades of academic rigour and assessment expertise directly to our work with children.
