ABA Therapy for Children in Ahmedabad
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) — India's most evidence-based behavioral therapy — helping children with autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviors build positive skills and independence. In-person at 3 Ahmedabad centers.
What is ABA Therapy for Children?
The most scientifically validated behavioral therapy — now practiced at Kocoon Junior with a child-friendly, play-integrated approach.
ABA therapy — Applied Behavior Analysis, also called behavioral therapy — is a structured, data-driven approach that uses positive reinforcement to build useful skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with a child's learning and daily life. It is the most evidence-based intervention available for autism (ASD) and is also highly effective for children with ADHD, hyperactivity, and other behavioral challenges.
At Kocoon Junior, ABA therapy is conducted by trained behavior therapists who understand both the science of behavior and the needs of young children. Every ABA program begins with a detailed Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) — we identify exactly why challenging behaviors occur and what skills need to be built, so the intervention is precise and targeted.
Unlike generic reward-based approaches, Kocoon Junior's ABA therapy is individualized. Each child's program is designed around their unique behavioral profile, developmental stage, and family priorities. Goals are reviewed monthly and adjusted as the child progresses — no two children follow the same program.
Parent involvement is at the heart of our ABA approach. Our therapists teach parents and caregivers how to use behavioral strategies consistently at home and in daily routines — because behavioral change requires consistency across every environment, not just the therapy room. All sessions are available in Gujarati, Hindi, and English. Where a child's profile is complex, our child psychologist collaborates with the ABA team to provide a fuller developmental picture.
Signs Your Child May Benefit from ABA Therapy
Behavioral challenges are not a parenting failure — they are often a communication gap. ABA therapy bridges that gap.

4 structured steps from assessment to lasting behavioral change
-
Functional Behavior Assessment
A detailed evaluation of your child's current behaviors — identifying triggers, patterns, and the function each behavior serves. This forms the foundation of a precisely targeted intervention plan.
-
Individualized Behavior Intervention Plan
A customized program with specific, measurable goals for building skills and reducing challenging behaviors. Goals are set in collaboration with parents and reviewed monthly based on data collected in every session.
-
Structured ABA Sessions
60-minute one-to-one sessions using Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and play-based reinforcement strategies. Each session is data-tracked so progress is always measurable and visible.
-
Parent Training & Generalization
Parents learn exactly how to implement ABA strategies at home, during meals, school transitions, and play. Behavioral change sticks only when it is reinforced consistently across all environments — not just the therapy room.
A Real Family's Story
"Our son Vihaan was 3 years old and had severe meltdowns — 4–5 times a day. He would bang his head and we didn't know what to do. After 3 months of ABA therapy at Kocoon Junior, the meltdowns are almost gone. The therapist showed us exactly how to handle situations at home. The change has been life-changing for our whole family."
